Was Steve Harvey flub a publicity stunt?

Houston, we have got a situation on Sunday night when host, Steve Harvey, announced the wrong winner of Miss Universe 2015.

Instead of reading the winner card properly, Steve Harvey said that Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, was the 2015 Miss Universe.  After Miss Colombia was crowned and was happy as can be then she had her crown snatched from her.  We feel really really bad for her as we were shocked as everyone else.  It’s like someone telling you you’ve just won the lottery and then they say “My bad, I was mistaken.”

Steve Harvey apologized and later go onto correct his mistake by announcing that Miss Phillippines, Pia Wurtzbach, was in fact the true 2015 Miss Universe.

In our humble judgement, both of these beautiful ladies deserved to win and it is too bad to have this kind of mistake happen at the finale like this.

Now whether this was planned all along as a publicity stunt to get more ratings we are not sure as things like this can happen.  We think Miss Phillipines put it best when she said “It a very non-traditional crowning moment isn’t it?  It is very… very 2015.”

We love to hear from you and what you think, take the poll and add your comments.
